March, 2010:  The Office of Hawaiian Affairs has awarded a grant in the amount of $24,143 to The Alcoholic Rehabilitation Services of Hawai 'i, Inc. dba Hina Mauka to support the development and integration of Hawaiian values and culture into substance abuse treatment programming. The process will include engagement and consultation with a Kupuna, educational sessions for both staff and clients, increased frequency of cultural site visits, and offering family reconciliation through ho’oponopono.
