Counselor - WCCC
Hina Mauka has a full time opening for a Substance Abuse Counselor for our Ke Alaula program at WCCC. Must have team-oriented practices. CSAC w/ criminal justice education, and/or experience working with the Mental Health and criminal populations preferred.
Treatment Associate - Per Diem openings for Treatment Associates at our Kaneohe facility. BA degree preferred. Candidate must be flexible as this is a 24 hour run department.
Family Program Counselor
Hawaii’s largest Substance Abuse facility has an opening for a Family Program Counselor. Must be a LCSW in the State of Hawaii with substance abuse background. Experience with multi-approach to family reunification including collaborating with a Kupuna and providing services to individuals and families affected by substance abuse.
Per Diem Counselors
Per diem openings for Counselors at our Kaneohe facility to help faciliate groups and assist with coverage. CSAC and/or MA degree preferred. Experience working with the criminal justice and mental health populations helpful.
Community Counselors - Kauai Teen Care
Substance Abuse Counselor opening on Kauai at our school based and community substance abuse treatment programs. Position is located in Waimea. CSAC or MA's degree preferred but not necessary, experience with adolescents and substance abuse helpful. Ability to work with & enjoy resistant clients.
Volunteer Opportunities
Clerical Support Volunteer
- Duties: Typing, Copy, filing, data entry, faxing.
- Assist with mailings and compiling marketing materials.

Clinical Intern (Practicum Student)
- Duties: Assist the clinical staff to carry out the direct therapeutic interaction with clients, in accordance with the Hina Mauka policies and procedures.
- Sharing the responsibility for the safety and well being of the Hina Mauka clients.
- The Intern will protect the confidentiality of clients and client records in accordance with provisions of 42CFR part 2.
Individuals who are recovering from alcohol/chemical dependency or any behavioral disorder must have at least three years of continuous recovery in order to be eligible to participate in the volunteer/intern program.
Requirements for Volunteers
- One 4-hour shift per week
- Current 2-Step TB test or X-ray (done within last year)
- Medical infectious disease clearance and physical from a physician (forms will be provided)
- Copy of Medical Insurance Card
- Completion of Safety Orientation with our Facilities/Safety Manager
- Completion of miscellaneous forms (forms will be provided)
- Dress code: business attire/aloha wear, no slippers or beach wear (Friday is casual dress day)
