Like all families in Hawaii, Hina Mauka is preparing for a better future by developing a savings fund that will make sure that all programs and services can continue far into the future. There are many ways to support this long term planning, such as;
- Name Hina Mauka in your will (bequest)/
- Name Hina Mauka as a beneficiary on your insurance policy, 401k, or IRA.

Charitable Bequests
A charitable bequest is simply a distribution from your estate to a charitable organization like Hina Mauka through your last will and testament. There are different kinds of bequests, and for each, you must use very specific language to carry out your final wishes.
Don't I have to be rich to have a will?
No. Your "estate" is simply the sum of your assets, including property you own, insurance policies, retirement accounts, cash on hand, etc. Wealthy people may have very large estates, but even people who aren't wealthy often have the resources to make a charitable bequest.
