Our medical and psychiatric team consists of several doctors and nurses who are highly qualified to address the complex issues that come with individuals who have substance abuse and mental health challenges. Hina Mauka also contracts with several independent psychologists and outside agencies that come to our facilities and provide much needed medical and therapy services.

With the rising trends of medication abuse Hina Mauka has implemented Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT). MAT is an evidence-based practice that combines pharmacological interventions with substance abuse counseling and social support. Although not for everyone, it is an essential part of the comprehensive array of services available at Hina Mauka to people struggling with addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Collaborative effort involving community partnerships provide an ideal approach to meeting the psychiatric and medical needs of our clients.
