Teen C.A.R.E. Program
Funded by the State Department of Health. School-based adolescent outpatient treatment services are provided at the following schools:

Island of Oahu
Kalaheo High School, Olomana, Castle High School, Kaiser High School, Kalani High School, Pearl City High School, Kahuku High School, Mililani High School and Radford High School. Also, King Intermediate School, and Pearl Highlands Intermediate School .

Island of Kauai
Kapa'a Intermediate, Kapa'a High School, and Waimea High School, Waimea Canyon Intermediate School, Kauai High, and Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School.

We make choices between the ages of twelve and twenty that will set the future course of our lives. These are the years when we are most vulnerable to peer pressure, to social stigma, when we are most likely to try to escape our parents’ domination, and most likely to try new things.

Some of the decisions will be good. Others not so good. And some can be tragic.

Teen C.A.R.E. is a program for kids who’ve made some questionable decisions. It’s a second chance.

Teen C.A.R.E. works within the schools to help young people make better choices. It deals with some of the hottest social issues of our time, from alcohol and drugs to crime. Students receive counseling and interact in groups to help them reduce or stop their substance use. There’s no need for insurance or out of pocket payments as it is funded by the state. Teen C.A.R.E. is one of the most effective programs to reduce adolescent substance abuse in the nation.

It takes some of the most at-risk population and tries to help them through their hardest time.
